Final Concept

For this piece I used a drawing of a swan which I drew and scanned in then edited it in photoshop. Im quite happy with the final outcome though with more time I feel I could have done a much better job.

Development work for PRO:2

As you can see Ive based my business name around animals which represent loyalty and somewhat governance. I thought the eagle would suit this role of being the "top dog" of businesse's as in the bird world it is.

First concept!! I drew a rough pigeoon then took it into photoshop and made various changes.

Final Piece development..

Ive decided to use this picture in my final piece.

More Development Work..Seed falling from hand

Here's another poster design I created using photshop.I quite like the simple approach I took in this one and I think it works quite well. I have put the title of the poem "A Seed" as if it were falling from the hand, almost like a seed.

More development work..

After much thought I decided that my previous piece of photography including the water dripping off the rough branch was not relevant enough to preside as my final piece, so I therefore went back to the drawing board and came up with a few more graphic design pieces. I feel that these are much more relevant to the poem and portray my thoughts on the peom much better. In this particular piece I have tried to create a surreal look in using the pieces of farming equipment such as the plough wheels and potato digger wheel to act like two cogs with a chain pulling the seed from the two bags at the bottom the whole way up to the hand at the top which is portrayed as "Autumn" in my opinion, as in the poem it goes "which Autumn flung down" Therefore I have used the picture of the hand throwing seed to portray Autumn in the poem. The picture of the old man is my great uncle as the farmer. My thinking behind this was to show him faintly in the background to represent the seed being neglected through winter and this part of the picture can also be viewed as an answer for the question posed at the end of the poem " where shall I be, When this little Seed is a tall green Tree?" My view on this poem therefore is that the farmer was once a young man when he sowed the grass seed and through time a tree came to grow in the same field and by the time it's a fully matured tree the farmer is now a very old man. I quite like the overall look of this piece however I think it has maybe to much going on in the background, so I may develop futher my idea.

Final Poster Design For " A Seed"

Final Design - Poster for "A Seed"

Here's the orginal drawing. I'd like to do more with the branches in this picture and maybe have pieces of text from the poem portraying the branches themselves.

Development

I Like this picture as it show's the "rough bark" and is quite relevant to the poem "A seed" by William Allingham.

Final pieces

Here's a picture I got in my garden, I think I'll use this as my final piece though I'll have to play about with the typography a bit.

Here's a sketch of my great uncle which I then edited in photoshop. I used one of my tree pictures for the background. I quite like this though it has a lot of room for improvement!
